As lecturers or educators, you may often be asked this question: “Sir, can we use AI for assignments?” The answer is simple: yes . However, there’s one important condition — using AI must be accompanied by ethics and wise understanding .

Let’s start with a story. Imagine a student named Andi. In just ten seconds, Andi can use AI to write a 3000-word essay. So, does AI make student assignments easier? Of course, it does. But should we ban it? Or should we teach students how to use it wisely?
