Writing: An Effort to Preserve Thought

As human beings, we are endowed with an invaluable capacity for thought. Our minds wander, analyze, and imagine, creating critical ideas that sometimes go unrecorded. But how often do these thoughts slip away, becoming mere whispers in the midst of daily life?

Plato, in his famous dialogue Phaedrus, discussed the importance of writing down our thoughts. Although he expressed concerns that writing could weaken memory, he did not deny that writing is a powerful medium for preserving knowledge. I often feel that many valuable thoughts pass through my mind, yet unfortunately, not all of them receive the attention they deserve. These thoughts sometimes dissipate, untouched and undocumented. Yet behind every thought lies potential — a foundation for great ideas, solutions to complex problems, or simply a reminder for oneself in the future.

This is why I write. Through writing, I attempt to capture thoughts that might otherwise be lost if left to circulate only in my mind. For me, writing is not just about putting words on paper or screen; it is a process of preserving thought — ensuring that these ideas remain alive, open for discussion, and perhaps one day, useful to others.
